Should you read this as a stand alone novel or read Enlightened first? Do your self a favor and read Enlightened first. I cannot wait to see where Melissa takes us from here! By this point in the book, I was exhausted! Emotional Rollercoaster Central! It was a serious page-turner and the ending left me smiling and wanting more. In trying to make things better, Loti’s mate Wolf join some dark forces from his past and things go from bad to worse.

In it, we learned of the failed assassination attempt on the Vampire named Wolf by the evil Vampire named Modore. 😉Įnlightened set the stage for the events of this book. Seems like Samskaras is the perfect title for this book. ra, a noun referring to a purificatory ceremony or rite marking a major event in one’s life or deep impressions that comes from our past experiences and that we accumulate from our ongoing life experiences.

Turns out that samskaras is plural of sam I had a small problem though because (yes, showing my ignorance) I had no idea what the word Samskaras meant. I love Melissa (and her hair!) and her outlook on life. I read and enjoyed Enlightened so figured that it was a safe bet I would enjoy this one as well.
